Retail health experts’ tips to survive and thrive
Ruth Ann Clayton, RD, Nature's Way, Mountain Home, Arkansas
Eat better foods. "We try to teach that excess sugar and sodium is mostly in processed and prepared foods, so simply focus on eating more whole foods, the way nature intended."
Think raw! "If you're cooking all of your produce to death and not eating any fresh or raw vegetables, you're missing out on some key nutrients and fiber."
And always consult your physician. "We don't use the term 'alternative medicine'--we use 'integrated medicine.' We work very closely with doctors; we send people to them, and they send people to us."
