Top tips for picky eaters

Teaching your kids to cook at a young age is crucial! Whatever my kids cook, they are more likely to eat!
Second, if my kids have not tried a food or new dish I ask them to try a small bite. They are allowed to spit it out if they really hate it. But, it usually turns out that they really like the foods that they try.
Third, out of my five kids, one is a super picky eater. I have shown so much patience with him, by allowing him to basically eat the few foods he likes. But as he gets older I find that he branches out more, and now he is much more adventurous. With picky eaters you really need to be patient. My son did not like the texture of many foods I asked him to try, and it took some time for him to enjoy them. Patience pays off in the end though!
Lastly, a great way to get kids to eat lots of veggies is to add them to smoothies. I make a smoothie every day in the spring and the summer. I can add tons of greens and other veggies without them noticing. Muffins are also a great way to add healthy ingredients without it being totally obvious.
