Ah yes picky eaters!!! Some people always have a tendency to assume that they don't like something even before they try it! Adults are worse than kids, because kids will at least try it and say, "blah” or "I hate it.” A great way to add different herbs, spices and veggies for your children is by hiding them and telling them after by playing a name game! Not only do they get to try different ethnic foods but they will be able to experiment with flavors and help you in the kitchen!
A perfect way of getting your kids in the kitchen is to make pasta! I love making pasta and especially since it's so fun. It almost feels like making Play Dough when I was a kid. Sometimes I use turmeric for gold/yellow, beet powder for purple/red and wheat grass for a bright green hue. Not only are you letting your kid "play" with their food but you're showing them how to create pasta from scratch and add your own style, instead of adding food coloring, which doesn't have any benefits at all. Adding nutrients and beneficial spices without telling your kids is a win, and then afterwards you can teach them where it comes from and what it’s called.
